Prayer is most important – don’t you agree?
God only works when we bend the knee.
I think, though, that discipleship is a priority, too.
But, without evangelism the church dies – bid it adieu.
Now, without worship can a church really be a church?
Without children’s ministry the future is left in the lurch.
And small groups are mandatory for transformation to thrive.
In community alone Christians figure out their lives.
But don’t forget doctrine isn’t that where we start?
Without truth we have nothing, it all falls apart.
But truth without love – we are noise in God’s ear.
Our unity says “Yes, Jesus is here.”
Counseling the broken is also expected.
Pastoral visitation makes us feel connected.
Hold on now, what about eschatology?
Theology is important, it shapes our beliefs.
And spiritual disciplines, yes, are crucial for sure.
Make them a priority – to help the young to mature.
But if deacons and elders are not found in your search –
as leadership goes, so goes the church.
Speaking of leaders your men they are vital
Renewed husbands and fathers will spark a revival!
But Christ’s most faithful workers – who might they be?
Of course those who serve in women’s ministry,
Yet, poor preaching they say is the cause of weak faith.
Malnourished parishioners find the Tempter’s embrace.
Even so, without giving there is no money – you see.
And our wonderful church will just cease to be.
In addition, a mission is a must for the parish.
No vision Scripture says, and the people will perish.
A mission statement you say, but haven’t you heard?
Toward missions world-wide our hearts should be stirred.
And Christ’s heart for the poor should be our heart as well,
On those without power, our attention should dwell.
When trying to guess what’s most important you see –
It is not easy to say, it is hard to perceive.
So be gentle to your leaders when you tell them what’s wrong.
Because it’ all important for a church to stay strong.
