Your family, your friends, here gathered
Your love has touched us so deep
As two now become one together
That love into new corners will sweep
The community around you was praying
Hoping God’s will would mirror their own
And here we are all now praising
His glorious favor shown
Elucidate now please let me
On how love in a marriage may thrive
Some paths of love are familiar
But others may come a surprise
Love is being patient
when to dinner your darling is late
Love is showing kindness
When Sweetie doth you irritate
And should one spouse a spender be
And the other a miser portray
Peace is found in the middle
Love has gentle words to say
As accolades find their way to you
Stay content in who you are
Love makes boasting forbidden
Cast your light on other’s stars
And should your precious one grumble
Bring an angry and darkened mood
How to respond is no mystery
Love in the absence of good
And when arrayed a decision
love never demands its own way
If you learn to defer to the other
This will beckon love stick and stay
And when sparks fly around you
For a time a melancholy song
Forgiving starts new melodies
For love keeps no record of wrong
Love rejoices in truth and walks humbly
in harmony two side by side
Love endures to our own coming sunset
Through the rising and falling tides
And so now with all of our blessings
Add our love onto yours that is new
May God bless you and keep you forever
With warmth and affection
We love you
Beautifully done and well said, Pastor Craig. And we love you!
